Why is romance so loved?
A typical target audience of romance films are heterosexual middle-aged females. General conventions are a relationship formed between two people throughout the film, a love triangle, a happy ending, and a pattern of anticipation, tension, and release. The Institutional aspects are usually associated with the marketing techniques of posters or thumbnails with the two main love interests in love posing together like they love each other, drawing in that audience that searches for romance films. These films are marketed either using the relationship drama in the trailer or specific actors they know an audience would love to see together. Examples of these films are “anyone but you” “After” “It ends with us "and so on.

The cloths Sydney wear are all light floral colors to give that extra feminine aspect about her. The guy is chasing her most of the movie making viewers anticipate when she will finally give in.
The notebook is another great example of a romance movie. The plot is yet again “guy meets girl” and “guy chases girl” story line.
